Can you build a new website from scratch withcontribute?
Does it have to be existing content? I use contribute to manage one of my
websites and it's fun and easy. I am not good with htlm and realy could not
stand online sitbuilders. Could it be done? Should it be done? Sorry if this
topic has come up before I always do a seach, but didn't see anything.
Suggestions appreaciated.

Second, yes you could create a web site from scratch using Contribute, but it
would be very limited as to what it could do. Contribute doesn't allow you to
edit scripts of any kind from the Contribute interface so you'd have to edit
those in an external program, which means that any JavaScript or server side
scripts would need to be done outside of Contribute as well.

Ya, sorry about the typo, I get ahead of myself sometimes. Anyways, I don't
need to build a real detaled site. I think I will have to try it. Most of my
content is just scans from our catalog. This is kinda new to me, I'm not even
sure what scripts do. I just need to get a basic site off the ground to get
some exposure. I have alot to learn but rome wasn't built in a day. Is
Dreamweaver hard to use for a beginer?

Really, there is a steep learning curve.

there are other programs that you might find easier or more to your
liking/price. Do a search through Google to locate them.

Re: Can you build a new website from scratch withcontribute?
I watched the commercials on this site for dreamweaver, They make it seem easy
but I know it would be a chore to learn. Can't you just save images and
documents as html and post them? (probably too much work) I will do a search
for another program. I just registered my domain name and forund an affordable
host. Now I just got to find a way to make it all happen and soon.
