Default Can you change the grey background colour which the pages sit on

My client would like to change the colour grey which the pages sit on, to lets say black. I don't think this is possible, but my client asked me to find out. I am using Acrobat 7 .0 Professional on a 1.83 Ghz Intel Core Duo iMac with version 10.4.8.

You can do this...sort of. Use the 'full screen' option (cmnd-L on a Mac, or via the menus it's under the 'View' menu - FULL SCREEN). If you don't like the black background, you can change it in Preferences / Full Screen / ...you'll see a 'Background colour' option there, with other options.

Thank you for your help. I have tried this and my client has expressed that he would like to see all the control boxes, so when he sends it out to customers they would have full control over the pdf. He thinks if customers view it without the controls they might not know what to do. Is there any way that this can be done using the full screen option, which would be great as I can set the pdf to open that way from the start.

No, you can't have the menus & toolbars AND fullscreen mode. One or the other.
