can you surpress output?
Hi. I was wondering if you could make a text frame NOT output (or an entire layer or group etc...). I have indicated FPO areas in a mailer and would like to leave them in the file but surpress their output. I know Quark can do this but cannot find it in inDesign.
(ID CS2)
Thanks

Re: can you surpress output?
Window > Attributes Palette
Select the text frame (or any other object)
Check Nonprinting
Confirm using Preview (w) if you like.

Re: can you surpress output?
Use layers if you're suppressing more than one object. You could call it, er, non-printing items or some such.
Be aware that there is no way of suppressing printing of, say, the frame but not its contents, as a friend recently discovered to his cost.
