Cannot Connect After Moving to GoDaddy
Any help on this matter would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
We had been hosting our website with a local company and on October 30 we
switched our hosting plan to GoDaddy. Since then we are unable to connect to
Contribute using our new FTP information. We receive an error message that
Contribute needs to locate our website on the FTP server. GoDaddy instructed
us just to place a forward slash "/" in the space, but then we get an error
message that Contribute cannot verify our connection information.
We recently purchased a new domain on GoDaddy and created a connection with no
problem, and it never asked us to locate our website on the FTP server. I'm
wondering if something with the hosting switch is causing this problem, and
moreso is there ANYONE that can help us???

Re: Cannot Connect After Moving to GoDaddy
Hi,
For the first case, please try making the home directory of the ftp user as
webroot.
For Example in case the site is at /inetpub/wwwroot/site1, try making the home
directory of the ftp user as /inetpub/wwwroot. OR
In case the site is at /var/www/html/site1, try making the home directory of
the ftp user as /var/www/html
Thanks,
manoj
