    Default Cannot Delete!

    "Cannot delete ******.ai: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again."

    Yes, I have had completely restarted the machine with trying to delete the file be the first thing I do. No other apps running!

    "Adobe" At which point during this post would you like me to explode during my rant. I have been doing some searching in the forums already and have not found a logical fix (turn off Norton) or even a fix at all. Nor in any of the conversations I've read have you responded, they all end with no conclusion.

    No, I do not have Norton sysmatic installed, anyways why should that matter. (that's another topic in itself)

    I have been working with Adobes products for going on 11 years starting when it was just "Illustrator" and Illustrator CS has given me the biggest headaches.

    I have Service Pack1, dual pentium, 1gig Ram, Dual SCSI drives. This is not the problem.

    Thanks!

    1. You're NOT talking to ADOBE here, it's a user-to-user forum;
    2. Why'd you post a new topic right next to one that's already going on about EXACTLY the SAME issue, if you've researched stuff so thoroughly already, how about getting together with other users and contributing something?

    Again, THIS IS NOT ADOBE, it's a user-to-user forum, you're BARKING up the wrong tree.

    How long has CS been in our hands for now?

    It's NOT a CS issue, it's been around for longer.

    By the way, I wouldn't mind if you do stick your head in the ground. Either that, or start listening to what's being said rather than repeating stuff over and over.

    Ok, I do have to say that I apologize for coming off cuffed. I have been paying attention to the previous posts and everything that I am reading I have tried. I have not noticed that 10 nor 9 behave this way. I have not changed my system and can almost without a doubt say that these problems happened after CS was installed. I have read posts dating back to December with the same issue many of us are experiencing. Seems that this has been an issue since 9. I went off on Adobe because there products are typically sound and if not they come out with patches. I do have to believe that Adobe occasionally scrolls through here to pick out these types of problems. I am just venting.

    Looking for a fix?

    Thanks

    A way to delete these files is to restart windows XP and run the next windows session in safe mode. you should be able now to delete the file.

    Thanks for your advise, and yes I have done this on many occasions, yet this is what I am trying to avoid. I would like to see a real fix to this issue.
