Another idea I've used a bunch of times when I get a ed up entry name.
    first #l > /tmp/dan.tmp
    then #vi /tmp/dan.tmp

It'll show you all the strange keystrokes that got included in the entry name.

    Good Luck!!

I just tried "rm -rf gds/..?29276 gds/.?29276" but it ended up deleting my
    "/var/opt/K/SCO/Unix/5.0.4Eb/lib" and "/var/opt/K/SCO/Unix/5.0.4Eb/etc".

    /var/opt/K/SCO
    # cd gds
    # pwd

    # ls -b
ls: . not found: No such file or directory (error 2)
