Default Cannot gain access to data

    hi,
I am new to dreamweaver and am haveing some problems with coldfusion. I have
designed a site to get to familiar with Dreamweaver which was a going well till
i decided i wanted dynamic pages which need either local/remote server access.

Becuase i am running Windows XP which does'nt support IIS. I have downloaded
Coldfusion MX7 web server and Apache Application server, i have followed all
instructions to install & configure Coldfusion, however when i try to select a
data source and try to input my password nothing happens.

Can anyone help I have tried everything i can think of please help.

I have had a look in Start > control panel > administrator tools > services
and there does'nt seem to be any databases install. Could this be the problem
even though the book i'm learning from supplies data?

    Many thanks

You can't connect to a data source that isn't there. What kind of database are
you trying to connect to? Access? SQL Server? Oracle? MySQL? Are any of these
installed on your computer, or a computer to which you have network
connectivity? You say that "..the book i'm learning from supplies data". What
    does that mean, exactly?
