Cannot get a connection -incorrect password
I'm trying to setup Contribute CS3 for the first time. I've selcted FTP and
filled in the host name, username and password but get a 'username or password
is incorrect' message. I've checked and retyped these to no avail. I can
connect using the same details in both Dreamweaver and Cute Ftp , so why not in
Contribute?
(I've read the technotes but they don't help -in particular no19496 -checking
from a prompt, I can't get to work either - I'm not sure what they mean me to
type from the prompt - do I type 'ftp <server>' or do I type just 'ftp' and it
responds <server>? If I type the whole line (replacing server with my
servername), it says 'the syntax of the command is incorrect')

Re: Cannot get a connection -incorrect password
But how did you solve it? I've re-downloaded the whole program, tried different
Contribute Keys and tried all likely passwords, but always get the "incorrect
password" msg. It does not ask for the serial number.
