I have run into this problem a LOT!!!!, not only in PSE but also in IE, Netscape, Win pix viewer, Win Fax viewer. It seems to be present a lot when someone builds a web page or works a pix with FrontPage.

These pix also "SAVE IMAGE AS"/File Type ".ART" Anyone know what that means????

The .art means an art file in some draw or paint programs, a rastor app.
