Cannot print from Acrobat 7.0.8 using Mac OSX, Epson Stylus CX4200
I cannot print or fax any documents from Acrobat 7.0.8. I am using Mac OS 10.4.5 on a MacBook Pro with 512mb RAM and an Epson CX4200 printer. Have downloaded all driver updates from Epson and have exhausted their tech support options. Re-installed Acrobat 7.0.8 software, but problem persists. When print is selected, the Epson CX4200 status monitor indicates that the job was stopped. Re-starting jobs causes the status monitor to hesitate, then revert back to stopped jobs. Can still print and fax from all other programs including Acrobat 5.0.

Re: Cannot print from Acrobat 7.0.8 using MacOS X, Epson Stylus CX4200
I suspect and believe that the momentum of the upgrades of the Mac OS X as well as individual softwares such as Adobe Acrobat 7.0.8 have displaced many manufacturers' printer drivers. Many of these manufacturers have also not kept up with the momentum of what Apple and Adobe is doing. At our office, a number of printers have been rendered useless with our newer Apple computers but they work OK with the older Macs. And we are talking about printer brands such as Epson and HP. Our Epson Aculaser C900 colour laser printer for example, does not work with Intel bases Macs. It also does not work anymore on my Powerbook after upgrading to OS X 10.4.8. The HP Deskjet 5160 prints jibberish pictures when printing from Adobe Acrobat 7.0. The woes will not end. It is only my fervent hope that hardware and software manufacturers can work together to resolve these customer plights.

Thanks for the insights. I't's interesting that I can still print and fax from Acrobat 5.0 using the same CX4200 printer driver, but not Acrobat 7.0.8.

Re: Cannot print from Acrobat 7.0.8 using MacOS X, Epson Stylus CX4200
I just recently started having trouble printing from Acrobat Pro. The printing icon shows in the dock for a few seconds, then disappears. So far, it appears that Acrobat is the only program I'm having this problem with. It prints fine from other applications.
