Cannot Scale measuring tool to drawings

I have just converted to Mac from the PC, and I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Extended. I measure pdf drawings, and have figured out how to measure, but have a problem scaling the measuring tool to match that of the drawings. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Choose Tools > Analysis > Measuring Tool. Control/right-click on the page and from the contextual menu, you can Change Scale Ratio to match your drawing, as well as many other options.

Thanks Steve! Quick question.......is it possible to save the set scale? Everytime I close the measuring tool it resets to the default.

I didn't see that as an option.
