Cannot use filters
I'm unable to apply most, if not all, filters in Fireworks. The error
message I receive when applying is:
"Could not complete your request. An internal error occurred."
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Christian

Re: Cannot use filters
Which filters are you referring to? Which version of Fireworks are you
using?

6 and up do not work in Fireworks, or any other graphics app for that
matter. They are designed to work in Photoshop only. 3rd party plugin
filters like KPT 6, Eye Candy 4000, and Ilya Razmanov's terrific
AmphiSoft filters (http://photoshop.msk.ru/) work very well in Fireworks.
Best regards,

Re: Cannot use filters
Will Photoshop 5 filters work? I think I have an old version or two lying
around. Seems a waste that these "basic" filters won't work.
Thanks,
Christian

Re: Cannot use filters
FWIW:
It's an Adobe thing, rather than Macromedia or Fireworks.... They have made
changes to the Adobe Plug-In SDK....
Read more about it at:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/fireworks/ts/documents/plug-ins_work_in_mx.htm
If this is important to you, following the link at the bottom of the page to
voice your concerns to Macromedia (under the section titled "Fireworks
direction").
Cheers,
Sam
