Re: Can't change font size after resizing box
In the Transform floating palette, under the small arrow menu at the top left of the palette, there is a selection to resolve this. With the text box selected, choose Scale Text Attributes. That will restore the type to absolute point sizes without altering the size or the placement of the text box.
Same thing applies to images with multiple scaling values (box and content). With the placed object selected, choose Reset Scaling to 100%.

The menu arrow is at the top right if the palette is floating, not docked.
