Can't control height and width

Default Can't control height and width

When I draw a rounded rectangle, i can no longer get a Height and Width measurement readout from the properties window. It gives me 64000 for the height and width. Resizing does not work becuase the angle of the corners are dependant upon the original dimensions of the rectangle....

    Meaning....

If i eyeball a rectangle which is 65 by 100 and scale it to 70 and 150 it looks one way.

If I eyeball a rectanlge which is 80 by 120 and scale it to 70 by 150 it looks different.

In addition, the edges control doesn't appear to do anything.

Ideas? I teach hands-on classes and it is important exercises can be replicated exactly. This change seems to prevent that.

I noticed 64000 thing too. I guess it's one of the many new "features" in
2004. The graphical anomalies are really bugging me right now. Whenever I
use the Poly-Lasso tool, the blue lines from that follow the mouse sometimes
leave a trail and it is really annoying. I also noticed that certain shapes
leave trails when moved and then it exports out the anomalies which is quite
ridiculous and makes the program unusable at times.

It's a shape primitive. As soon as you release the mouse button you'll
get a true reading and will be able to adjust its size with the resize
    control point.

Adjust the angle of the corners via the corner control points.

I'm not sure what you mean by edges control. Are you referring to
    aliasing or feathering?

Thanks, but if you read further, I noted that using these tools do no work in the desired manner. It doesn't matter if the size is displayed AFTER I release the mouse. When I resize the rounded rectangle tool, I get different shapes based on what size the rectangle was originally. When teaching a class and trying to replicate the same imagine, I can't have people having completely different looking rectangles.

It is pretty essential that I can have the height and width display dyamically so people can eyeball how close they are to the size rectangle they desire. And currently, none of the editing tools seem to do that -- unless I am missing something.

    Thanks.
