I have a 2 computer network for creating and testing intranet web pages. I
have one computer set up as a Web server with IIS 5.0, and running Office XP
and Windows 2000. I've created several virtual folders under
c:\inetpub\wwwroot, and from this server computer can successfully view html
pages which contain charts and pivot tables that were created with Office
Web Components.

However, when I try to view the same pages on the server from my second PC
(running Windows XP and Office 2000) I can view the html pages on the server
from my browser, but the charts and pivot tables will not display. Instead
a graphics placeholder is displayed in the upper left of a blank rectangle
where the component should appear. Also, when attempting to open an Access
mdb file in the virtual folder (which feeds the pivot table or chart), a
blank component with the usual component toolbar is displayed, and I get an
error message on the second PC as follows:

"Office Web Components could not open the database
'c:\inetpub\wwwroot\powergraphs\powergraphs.mdb'"

Both PC's have the Office XP Web Components installed, owc10.dll.

I'm not sure whether this is a security or possibly a licensing issue. I
may need to upgrade to Office XP on my second PC, although I believe the
components should display read only even if an Office XP license does not
exist on the second PC.

I am able to view other html and asp pages from the second PC, including
those that open Access mdb data files.

I would appreciate any thoughts on this.
