Can't End Contribute with a site
I enabled Contribute on a web site and now I want to stop it. I removed it
from 'MY Connections', but dreamweaver still thinks that it is linked to
Contribute. Any ideas on the Dreamweaver side or Contribute side?

Re: Can't End Contribute with a site
No. In fact, initially I never enabled it on the DW side. I was already getting
the share warnings when putting updates to the server. I then enabled check
in/check out and then disabled it, but DW still thinks the site is linked. Any
ideas?

Try removing the _mm directory. But take a backup in case you need anything back from it.

Re: Can't End Contribute with a site
Are you absolutely sure there is no _mm directory? Can you see hidden folders on your system? The _mm directory is used by Dreamweaver and Contribute 2/3 to manage the connections and users.

I enabled viewing hidden files and folders and I still don't see it!!! Should I open a trouble ticket?

Re: Can't End Contribute with a site
Very weird. I've seen folders beginning with the underscore listed at the top
and bottom of folder lists, and I thought _mm was always present in DW and
Contribute sites. If you have a support plan then yes, open a ticket.

Re: Can't End Contribute with a site
I figured it out! The problem was not with the html file, it was with the image
and flash files which I store in different directories. Apparently, Contribute
creates mirror lock files with the ext "LCS" (i think!!) for each emage and
flash file on that particular page. When I deleted those files from the server,
everything returned to normal.
