can't figure it out; help

Hello folks

I have a little flash movie which plays sound samples; each sample is
embedded in a separate swf which is loaded on-demand. This is simple stuff.
The thing works fine when played from the flash-generated html page. BUT:
The site I'm designing is php/dhtml and my flash "player" resides within a
div. And then the "player" loads and waits for the viewer to press a button
to load a sound. But nothing happens, i.e. the external swf won't even load.
Any ideas?
