    Default Can't Find Font

So I have upgraded from Pagemaker to InDesign. I bring one of my books from Pagemaker to indesign.

    I close.

    I open.

InDesign tells me a font (Times New Roman MT PS) is not available.
I select the same font to replace this one.

InDesign tells me everything is OK.

    I save.

Each time I reopen I go through the same thing. InDesign can't find the font although it is one the system and available through indesign.

    What to do???????

I've got a similar deal happening. My client bought a package of
postscript fonts awhile back and has asked me to use them for their
work. One of the fonts is Franklin gothic.

Unfortunately, one of the native Windows XP fonts is also Franklin
Gothic. I went into the fonts folder and deleted the native font, but
that was a bad idea, it drove windows insane, had to use system
    restore.

All my other programs can see both versions of this font: the native
windows open-type font, and the postscript font supplied by the
client. EXCEPT INDESIGN. It cannot see the postscript font. No matter
what I try, it never shows up in the font menu. Its driving me crazy.
    Cant figure it out.
