Can't identify font
I have a Logo that I made prior to my hard disk crashing. since I have replaced the hard drive and reinstalled AI, I don't seem to have the font anymore that I used for my logo. When I open AI it just tells me what font has been substituted. Is there any way to find out what the original font name was?? If I can find that out, I can get the font and install it back into my system. Any suggestions?

Re: Can't identify font
Kenneth, If you're running AICS, try choosing Type > Find Font...
It may tell you what the original font was there, (I don't know for sure that it will).
Otherwise, depending on the format, and what other software you may be equipped with, I'd try importing it to InDesign, or opening it in Photoshop or CorelDraw. You may get a report there containing the original font name...assuming you haven't already re-saved it in AI with the substitution in place.
