can't install acrobat reader on my ibook
ibook G4 OS X 10.3.8 I have tried installing acrobat reader several times but keep getting the message " adobe reader could not install. A required component was not found. Please reinstall adobe reader ." Does anyone know how I find out what the " required component " is. Otherwise I am going round in circles.

Make sure you have a Shared folder in the Users folder. Also try fixing
permissions.

I am having the same problem-iMac OSX 10.3.9. I have a shared folder in the Useres folder, but I'm not sure what "fixing permissions" means.

Open Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. Select your hard drive (must be the boot volume) and click Repair Disk Permissions.
This is an essential Mac OS X troubleshooting technique.

can't install acrobat reader on my ibook
I'm having the same problem. Have a G4 with tiger. had acrobat 6, tried loading updates including reader 9. Nothing all came back that it couldnt install. I have repaired file permissions (frequently) and there is a shared folder in my users folder.
