Can't install extension

    Default Can't install extension

Dowloaded "CleanupFPHtml" extension (to clean up frontpage code). It's a 42kb
mxp file which can be found under "Cleanup FrontPage HTML Sitewide for
    Dreamweaver 8 and MX 2004, V2.1.0".

When I try to install it with Macromedia Extension Manager, I get the
    following error message:
    "Can't create folder G:\CleanupFPHtml_mxi"

I downloaded the latest extension manager, still same issue.

    Any idea?

    Thanks

Is your hard drive CALLED "G"? Looks to me like it's trying to install on
a CD drive or something .. which of course, it can't do.

Where did you get the extension in question? From the Macromedia Exchange?

G: is the partition I use for temporary files, it's on my hard disk.

I downloaded the extension from Macromedia Exchange

    Thanks for your help

I just installed that extension without issue on DW8. I'm sure it has to do
with your partition .. if you are redirecting all temp files to the G
partition, that is probably why. I haven't taken apart this extension, but
it would need to be installed as the developer intended, which is probably
the default C:Documents and Settings/User/Macromedia/etc. path.
