Cant Install Project Seven "Tree Menu Magic"
I just installed Dreamweaver 8 and I can't install Project Seven's Tree Menu
Magic. I tried to double-click on P7_TreeMenu_25.mxp located in the
\local_files directory and I received the error message "This extenstion
requires the following products: Dreamweaver MX or greater. The extension will
not be install." I also launched the extension manager, but when I go to File
menu, the "Installl Extension" option is not availalbe. I checked Project
Seven's website and they state that "PVII products are fully compatible with
Dreamweaver 8". Has anyone come across this issue? Thanks...

Re: Cant Install Project Seven "Tree Menu Magic"
Tree Menu Magic installs fine in our copies of Dreamweaver 8. Are you
using the trial? Are you on a Mac? Actually, if you upgrade, and you
have TMM on your prior version of DW, then all you need to do is open
Extension Manager and check the box to make it install.

This has nothing to do with trial or not.
I'm experiencing the same problem. It's something with the new Extension
Manager. I reactivated some installed extensions with the old manager (came
with MX2004) and they work fine in the Studio 8 products.
But when uninstalling the old manager and (re)installing the new one, I
suddenly can't install the extensions anymore (?).

Re: Cant Install Project Seven "Tree Menu Magic"
That's interesting. You shouldn't have had to reinstall the extensions ..
they should have been there in the Extension Manager but unchecked. If you
check them, they should activate just fine. I don't have TMM, but I do have
PMM and it works just fine with DW8.
Have you posted on the Project Seven forum about this?

TMM is packed the same as PMM - both were thoroughly tested for DW8 and
work fine.
