Can't install Standard or Pro version V7 or 7.0.8
Ive seen a couple other posts about this but their fixes didnt work for me. Ive cleard off any trace of Acroabt, then dragged my "install" folder into my applications folder. When I try to install I get the "Adobe Acrobat could not install correectly. Adobe Acrobat was unable to install and must quit."
Ive fixed permsissions, wiped out all traces of acroabt and still no go.
Anyone from adobe have any ideas?

If you were removing an earlier version of Acrobat 7, you should use the Acrobat Uninstaller.
Try creating a new user, and install Acrobat 7 there. If that works, there is a corrupted preference or cache file in your existing user account.

Re: Can't install Standard or Pro version V7 or 7.0.8
I too have had problems installing adobe acrobat on my mac. I have been on the phone with mac and adobe numerous times and neither can fix the problem. Adobe even sent a new disc. Same problem.
I have expensive software that I need and can't use.
I have done everything here and nothing works.
Can anyone help?

S.G.,
Have you tried an archive and install and/or a clean install. A clean
install is a drastic measure, but I've never known it to fail on a Mac.

Can’t Install Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard On Mac OS10.4
I have used Adobe Acrobat 5.0 for many years with Mac OS9.1. I recently installed OS 10.4.6 on my 500 MHz Power PC G4 (1 GB SDRAM). I then purchased an upgrade to Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard from the Apple Store which sent a CD.
Following instructions, I dragged a folder titled “Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard” into my Applications folder. I then double clicked on that folder to obtain icons labeled “Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard,” “Acrobat Distiller 7.0,” Acrobat Uninstaller,” and “ReadMe.html.”
When I double click on “Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard” or on “Acrobat Distiller 7.0,” I get nothing whatsoever.
Clicking on “ReadMe.html.” takes me to <file:///Volumes/Adobe%20Acrobat%207.0%20Standard/Adobe%20Acrobat%207.0%20Standard/ReadMe.html> , or more compactly <http://tinyurl.com/ynbjek>. There, under "System Requirements" it is stated that:
“Acrobat 7.0 Standard for Mac OS requires. . . PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor
Mac OS X version 10.2.8 or 10.3.”
Is it possible that Acrobat 7.0 Standard is not compatible with Mac OS 10.4.6?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Can't install Standard or Pro version V7 or 7.0.8
Try fixing permissions. Pro 7 works under OS X.4.8 on a Macbook C2D
and a Powerbook G4.

Have you restarted? You might be running the application from the Ghost
image?
