    Default can't make complete install

I recently had to re-install CS2. After the gruelling removal process, I was nuable to re-install Acrobat Professional. This is the second time that's happened. What can I do to get a proper, full install?

Do you get an error message? Did you try fixing permissions before
    installing and again afterwards?

No, there were no error messages.

I hadn't thought about fixing the permissions, so I'll try that now. Do I need to uninstall CS2 before I attempt the re-installation?

    Thanks.

I fixed permissions. Afterward, the following list of apps appeared in the Installation Options window.
    AI CS2
    ID CS2
    Pho CS2
    Version Cue CS2

No option for re-installing Acrobat Pro was in the list. Something else I just remembered is this: in the past two attempts to re-install, I never got to install disc 4 (i.e., the installer never requested that disc).

When you installed, did you use the Acrobat Uninstaller to remove Acrobat?

This time around, i did not start by uninstalling. Mostly, that's because it never removes half the items it's supposed to, so I end up doing it by hand, which takes forever. (You really do need to talk to the engineers about this. CS2 is the least convenient of all the installers I have. Maybe you should switch to the ones that are used for Macromedia Design Suite.)

No, Acrobat Pro does not show up as a grayed out option. Odd, I know I had it installed before.

Just in case I was mistaken about the provenance of the app, I looked in my Big Box of Install
Discs, and I don't have a separate Acro pro disc.

    dear nicky

i got my mac dealer to do the first install ... (i have reinstalled
    bymyself since)
and he said before he began that there were conflicts with version cue
    and tiger
i have 10.4.8... which i also got him to install
any way mine is installed with out version cue ...
and i created a folder called my own version to place stuff in
i simply have to create path manually and no difference i work alone
    ....
any way try to do install with the version cue selection unselected...
and yes it is a huge task to remove all acrobat files manually as it
    were ...
oy... almost as hard as spelling each word corectly... ;o)
    good luck yours
