can't nudge crop tool

In Acrobat 4 and 5, when the Crop dialog box came up, you could click then "nudge" any of the four parameters (top, bottom, left, right) with the arrow keys. In Acrobat 6 and 7, that functionality is lost. Instead, while you can input the numbers--you could do that in 4 & 5 too--you can only nudge with the up or down arrows for each parameter in increments that are set by Adobe, and those 1/8" ( .125") increments are way too large for our needs.

We use a JIT label publishing system. We have a wide array of food product label template sizes, and they change depending on the product's shipping box. In the past we were able to very closely crop the PDF; we have a lot of information that regulations require us to put on a label so physical label space is at a premium. Of course we could eyeball it…er, utilize the time-honored optical alignment method…but we'd like to be more precise in our cropping.

Is there a way to set the increments? Is there a way to nudge other than the up/down arrows next to the input fields? Is there a third party software to restore this functionality? Am I missing something?

Enfocus Pitstop Professional has tools for this task. Although more
complex to set this operation - it has Action Lists which can perform
automation as well ....
