Can't open ID2 file with IDCS?

Hi,
I have a problem. I created 5 files using ID2.0 and someone is trying to open these files with IDCS, they can only open 2 of the 5 files. 2 of the files say they are ID files with the other 3 say they are unix files. Any help or insight that anyone can give is much appreciated! Thanks, Sharon

Do the files have .indd as their extensions?

How did you supply the files? CD? Email? Network transfer? Download?

How are they trying to open them? File open? Double click in finder?

What happens to the files that don't open? Error message?

No the files don't have the .indd after them, but ID2 files usually don't.

I put the files on my flash disk/drive and I also emailed them. When I emailed them they came over as data/binary files.

The files were tried by both ways...opening through IDCS or by double clicking from the finder.

No error messages.

First: Add the extension.
Second: Compress before emailing.
