Can't Open Indd file
Anyone able to help.
I sent a file of mine to a contractor and got it back, now I can't open the damn thing. Anyhone able to help, I have indd 4.04. I've renamed and duplicated but can't get anywhere with it. Is it possible that I can't open it b/c her software is either a) not up to date, b) not registered or c) I have no idea.
If you can help, thanks,
Greg

Re: Can't Open Indd file
Since you haven't given us a shread of info about what the contractor
did or what happens when you try there's really not much more than we
could but guess...so I'll go first: e-mail corruption. Files should
always be zipped or stuffed before emailing.

Re: Can't Open Indd file
If anyone is looking, file was zipped when sentback to me, B&W, 1.7mb.
She basically updated text and moved a few boxes around, not complicated work at all, very basic.

Re: Can't Open Indd file
Again...what happens when you try to open it? And I'm assuming you
unzipped it first.

Re: Can't Open Indd file
Greg, if you are looking (Bob answered you in 4 minutes, so there was at least someone looking; and you replied in 3 minutes, so you were looking too), it's good practice to give from the beginning as much relevant information about your problem as possible. If in doubt whether a piece of information is relevant or not, post it. It's better to post redundant information than wasting your time, and the time of those trying to help you, in a long interchange of posts trying to understand your problem just because you wrote as if you thought we were mind readers.
