Can't open the illustration.
When i try to open up a graph i had created in illustrator a message comes up that states "Can't open the illustration. The illustration contains an illegal operand. Offeding operator "TG"" What does this mean?
Everytime i open the file it does this and then i click ok and the file opens but it is completely blank.
I am using illustrator 8.0 in windows XP

Does it show up in the preview? I had this happen once. It showed up in the preview box but wouldn't open. Someone on this forum suggested clicking once on the name of the file, then, on the keyboard, hit Cntrl C. Close the Open dialogue, open a new file and then do "Paste" or Cntrl V. It worked! I saved it under a new name and now it always opens. I'm on Win 98SE using Illustrator 9.02.

Have you tried opening it in Photoshop? It would be rasterized but at least you'd have something if it opened.
