Default Can't print underlay images and text

When I have a home made stamp added to a pdf, or a text box added to a scanned image, on some printers, it will not print these. One can see the above items perfectly, but they will not print.

This is true for Adobe Acrobat 4, 5, and 6 on Windows 2000 and XP. What is the construct adobe uses for a stamp versus a copy and paste?

The exact same image in PDF format when added via copy and paste will print where as this same image converted to a stamp and applied, will not.

It seems to be an issue with PCL drivers and HP printers. However, other brand printers will not print the image. And even on some Win2K workstations with HP PCL drivers loaded the image will not print.

Default Re: Can't print underlay images and text

    IN Acrobat 6

File > Print > Print What > Document and Comments

In Acrobat 5 there is a Print Comments checkbox that you need to select.

A stamp and a text box are both example of comments and therefore you need to specify to print them. If you print to PDF with the comments you wil have a new PDF with the comments appearing permanent.
