    Default can't quit photoshop cs

this question may belong on an apple forum, but i've always been pointed in the right direction here.

am a new user of both panther and pscs. was enjoying learning both, but have begun to receive message "unable to save ______ because of disk error". this seems to be happening to anything i go to savein photoshop. consequently can't restart unless i force quit, since it won't quit with the open files on the desktop.

believe there is some relationship to having installed knockout 2; it has given me trouble from the start. this is happening to both files i have and have not used knockout on, but started on 2 i had used knockout on.

    any clues how to proceed?

    g4, 1gb ram

    thanks!

Default Re: can't quit photoshop cs

Well, for starters, since you started noticing with the installation of Knockout, move it out of your Plugins folder, Reset your Photoshop preferences <http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/6712.htm> and try again.

Run Disk Utility (preferably from a bootable optical drive disk) and any other hard drive repair utilities you may have (I recommend DiskWarrior and Cocktail) to check for hard drive damage and to repair permissions.
