Can't replace image with image of same name
Can you replace an image on the server with a same name image from your
computer?
In Contribute 3, I am trying to update an image with a new image of the same
name. The reason for this is that I have a list of generic names in a
javascript file that rotates the images on a user's home page. Rather than
having to change the javascript each time, I asked them to upload the new image
under the same name such as photo1.jpg, photo2.jpg, etc.
However, upon publishing the page Contribute sees that there is an existing
image on the server and renames the one I am trying to upload. It won't let me
replace it. The client could easily workaround this by ftp'ing the photo
directly to the images folder. But that defeats the purpose of having them use
Contribute.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Can't replace image with image of same name
Hi,
It will prompt you to replace the image if 'Allow user to delete files
they have permission to edit' role setting is enabled for a role under Folder
/File Access Category.
This permission can ge given to any role by administrator.
