Default Can't resize a text block

I can't resize text blocks. If I pull a corner handle and stretch it to a new location it bounces back to it's original shape.

Is there a setting or preference I need to switch on or off to get this working?

    I'm using Freehand 11.01 build 67 on an Apple G4-350mhz 50gbHD 1.2gbRAM Ati8500 OSX 10.2.8+

    Cheers

    Graeme

Default Re: Can't resize a text block

You have created an auto expanding text block, probably created by clicking once on the page, then started typing.

Double click on the little squares at the right center and bottom center of the text block.
This will close it and you will be able to drag the corners of the text box to whatever size you want.
Buttons to open or close are also available in the object inspector.

If you click then drag, a closed text box will be created when you let go.

Double clicking on the large square on the bottom right corner will shrink to fit a closed text box.

    Hope this helps.
