"can't save illustration" error ?????

ok.. i've been working on a logo in illustrator. i have already been able to save the image in varying layouts using different names and saving as an eps. i'm trying to save another version using "save as " or "save copy", and it gives me this "can't save illustration" error. i have tons of memory. the filename is tiny. what the heck is going on?????

I am using Adobe Illustrator 9 and I also get the "can't save illustration error, not enough memory", if I am saving the file as an eps. An ai file works OK. What I found was I deleted a guide with my Direct Select Tool (A) and it left two anchor points, one on each end of the Scratch area which is 227" wide. If you go to Object > Path > Clean Up it cleared the problem.

i'll give it a try, but i forgot to mention, my error just says "can't save illustration".. it never mentions anything about memory or anything else. just "can't save illustration"
