Can't save page setup or print settings
I print the same Illustator 10 documents repeatedly for my business. But every time I print, I have to reenter the page set up and print parameters which is a huge waste of time. Is there some reason the document doesn't save this information as it does in every other application I use? Using Illustrator 10 and Mac OS 10.3.3

Re: Can't save page setup or print settings
I have the same problem, It seem you can not save page setup information in the Illustrator file. It works in CS though.

Re: Can't save page setup or print settings
Has anyone else tried to figure a solution for this? I didn't have this problem using Ill 10 before we installed an upgrade. We are stuck using 10.0 until our vendors upgrade too. Has anyone called Adobe?? Is anyone not having this problem with Ill. 10???
I am not an IT guy.

How about trying the AI10.03 upgrade on the Adobe site?

Re: Can't save page setup or print settings
I have the same problem printing from Photoshop 7.0, plus, I can't find the "center image" check box. Will an OS 10.03 upgrade correct this? I really dislike the print dialog box in 10.

Re: Can't save page setup or print settings
I hear ya! I'm using IL 10.0.3. I posted a similar note asking where the "centered" check box was. Apparently it's gone. :OI That's not good, because now I can't print a "full page" to my epson printer. The bottom get's cut off.
If anyone has a solution please let us know. Thanks!

Re: Can't save page setup or print settings
I found solution to the missing "center page", you can set margins, and save as default. It's under "Page Setup", under page attributes, custom. Not the most elegant solution, but it's working!

I still can't get the correct margins this way. Can you give me the specific steps you are taking?

Re: Can't save page setup or print settings
I'm working in Photoshop 7.0, I assume there are probrably some differences in the print dialog box for Illustrator, but here's a breakdown:
Select print with preview from file menu.
Select Page Setup from dialog box.
Select Page Attributes.
Select Custom Paper Size.
Type in paper size and margins in lower right under Printer Margins.
Save.
Very awkward, but it works until I can find the
center page check box. Hope it works in Illustrator.
