Default Can't set text to bold / italic / underlined inContribute

Hello, One of my clients is using Contribute 3, but he can't set text to bold,
italic or underlined. The problem only occurs on his computer, but I've read
somewhere on a forum that it's because of a bug in Contribute. I can't find the
webpage anymore, but they were saying that they had fixed the problem by
changing the html code; more specific, by putting the Title tag in the editable
region of the Template and not in the fixed region. I did that, but that didn't
work. Can someone help me out? Thanks, cindy

Most likely this problem is caused by an administrative setting you
have created for this role on this site. To check it go into the admin
settings for this site (Edit/Administer Websites) and select the role
that this client was assigned. Click the Edit Role Settings button.
Click the Styles and Fonts option on the left menu. See if the "Allow
users to apply bold, italics, underline..." option is checked. It
probably is not checked if your client can't set these attributes.
    Check this and click OK.

    Hi Cindy,
I have a client who experiencing the same thing. We've changed the settings in
'User roles and setting'>'Styles and fonts' but it does nothing.

My other clients have no problems. When we change this setting the correct
items (ie bold and italics) on the tool bar appear for them but not for this
    one particular client.

The other thing is that it is not just the one PC. It is anybody who users
that userid from any PC. We are going to attempt to create another userid to
see how that goes. Will keep you posted.

This bug appears to have been known about months ago, but I still can't find
    anything 'official' from Macromedia :disgust;

Here, it only seems to affect certain DreamWeaver MX 2004 templates we use -
other templates or creating blank pages don't seem to have the problem.

I have, so far, been unable to edit the offending template to resolve the
problem, but did find that the solution posted last September does work, for me:

    Answer

I think I found a solution. At least a solution that is ok with me. If you go
to Edit, Administer Website, then pick your site. Select your name then click
on the Edit Settings button. In the Styles and Fonts section under style
support, change from Document Level CSS to HTML tags.

Doing that let me to edit text styles in the document. Perhaps the fact that
the document is a template and Contribute doesn't allow us to edit the
template, so we can't edit the Document Level CSS. Changing to HTML tags..
    option worked for me.
