Catalogue/organise pdfs
Hello all,
I have truck loads of research pdf articles on my hard disk and its hell of a trouble to search right article at right moment.
I was wondering if I can catalogue all those pdfs depending on various criterias like author of the article, year of publication or some keyword etc. In other words, what I want a program to do is, like the way media players search for mp3 files on your hard-disk and make library then you can sort all mp3s depending on artist, album, year, genre etc.
Is that possible with acrobat? or anyone suggests any other program.
Any help is appreciated.
(P.S. I tried my bookshelf but it sorts only on one criteria, which doesn't seem to be enough for my work)

Re: Catalogue/organise pdfs
You can search on Title, Author, Subject and Keyword provided you have populated those fields, and provided you catalog the collection after you have populated the fields.

Re: Catalogue/organise pdfs
If the documents you want to search are individually searcheable, you can make a catalogue using tools > catalogue and then search the index file using the search button.
