Centering Question - Macromedia Fireworks

Hi, I have a question I have a jpg image that has 2 stars on it. I want to insert some text into the center of each star. Is there a way to do that and make sure I am in the center of the STAR and not just eyeball it? What is the best approach to do this? Deb...

    Hi Deb:

Select both objects and the go to MODIFY>ALIGN> CENTER VERTICAL and CENTER
HORIZONTAL, or use the Align Panel.

    Hi Deb--

    What I would do:

    1. Place your two stars and the two text fields on the canvas. Place
    them off to the side.
    2. Select only one of each and open the Align panel. Clcik the "To
Canvas" button then the middle buttons in the top row. that will center
this first set in the center of the canvas.
    3. With the two objects still selected choose Modify > Group then move
the group off to the side.
    4. Repeat with the other star and text.
