centering webpage in the browser - Macromedia Dynamic HTML

I've built and uploaded a site with Dreamweaver CS3. It's all built with CSS and div tags, looking great but it positions left in the browser window. I've tried to change the CSS rule in the template I built to center the page (with the idea of updating the other pages afterwards) but it's not working at all. Does anybody know how to do this with HTML code? Where do I add the "center" command and do I do that in the stylesheet or in the code of the doent? Thanks for all your help!...

    Yes - well because you have used absolute positioning for your content
    regions, your page is well wrecked by several upsizes of the text. This is
    why 'layers' should not be used as a general layout tool - see
    http://apptools.com/examples/pagelayout101.php.

    Anyhow, change this -

    </head>

    to this -

    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    body { text-align:center; }
    #wrapper { text-align:left; width:760px; margin:0 auto;position:relative; }
    /* 760px will display on an 800px screen maximized browser window without */
    /* horizontal scrollbars. */
    -->
    </style>
    </head>

    change this -

    <body ...>
    (the ellipsis represents any other attributes that might be mentioned in the
    body tag, and SHOULD NOT BE INCLUDED EXPLICITLY!)

    to this -

    <body ...>
    <div id="wrapper">

    and this -

    </body>

    to this -

    <!-- /wrapper -->
    </div>
    </body>

    and see if that helps.
