Hey folks. I have a CF5 box that has the Oracle 8i client on it. I created an
Oracle "net service name" to our Oracle 9i database server using the Oracle 8i
client software, then made a Windows ODBC datasource using that net service
name, then tested/verified it in CF5 Administrator. I've been using it
successfully in CF5 ever since.

Recently I tried installing the Oracle 9i client on this CF5 box while still
keeping the Oracle 8i client (we're in a transition period, and need both).
Using the 9i client, I created a "net service name" for our Oracle 9i database,
then made a Windows ODBC datasource using that Oracle net service name. This
ODBC datasource tests/verifies successfully at the Windows level. In CF5
Administrator, this new datasource is visible, but it fails CF5's test/verify.
The old 8i datasource still works fine though.

Oddly, when I tell the CF5 Server service to run as an account other than the
Windows system account, the reverse is true... the 8i datasource fails to
verify in CF5 Administrator, while the 9i datasource verifies successfully.

Changing the "Oracle Home" location (directory) back and forth between the 8i
and 9i versions has no effect.

Any ideas? It doesn't seem to be permissions as everyone has access to
everything in all the relevant places.

Thanks!
