CFCHART problem in CF7 - Macromedia ColdFusion

My charts in CF7 are not showing all of my x-labels when they worked fine in CF6.1. The only way all the x labels appear in CF7 is when I increase the chart dimension, which is totally unacceptable. Also, I have another set of charts that combine a line chart with a bar chart . The bars width is way too narrow. How can I increase the width of the bars while using seriesplacment of cluster? We live and die by charts at my work. Please help!...

    Here's a sample of my chart code:

    <cfchart format="flash" chartheight="500" chartwidth="750" showxgridlines="no"
    showygridlines="no" seriesplacement="stacked" showborder="no" fontbold="no"
    fontitalic="no" labelformat="currency" yaxistitle="Millions" show3d="no"
    rotated="yes" sortxaxis="no" showlegend="yes" showmarkers="no">
    <cfchartseries

    Query="PMComplete2"
    ItemColumn="name"
    ValueColumn="PMC" serieslabel="Completed" seriescolor="##0066FF"
    paintstyle="light">

    Plus, by increasing the chart size some of the names which are missing on the
    smaller chart appear but even if I make the chart very large there are still x
    axis names which do not show up. Even though the tips display the name
    correctly with the correct values etc.

    I cannot run your code since you are using a query for which I have no
    datasource setup here.

    What the problem could be is that the labels must be longer and could not be
    fitted within the dimensions that you have specified.
    CF 7 by default displays labels horizontal, you can display labels to be
    vertical in such a case the labels will be displayed.

    what you should do is goto <cfinstall>\charting\styles directory
    you will see a lot of files which are .xml

    open files that do not end with " * _pie.xml"
    find and edit the lines:

    <xAxis>
    <labelStyle isHideOverlapped="true" orientation="Horizontal"/>
    <titleStyle font="Arial-12-bold" isMultiline="false"/>
    </xAxis>

    to

    <xAxis>
    <labelStyle isHideOverlapped="true" orientation="Vertical"/>
    <titleStyle font="Arial-12-bold" isMultiline="false"/>
    </xAxis>

    You need to change this in the files -
    default.xml
    beige.xml
    blue.xml
    red.xml
    silver.xml
    yellow.xml

    This should do it.

    NOTE: CFCHART does not automatically shrink or expand.

    That solved the problem for the bar graphs but it doesn't solve the problem for the horizontalbar types. Any ideas?

    change the add the orientation="horizontal" attibute to the y-axis and try.
