cfperfmon_mx.dll Perfmon error

    Default cfperfmon_mx.dll Perfmon error

    Hi,

    I am runnign MX version 7 and I am getting this error message in application
    log "cfperfmon_mx.dll library is not
    aligned on an 8-byte boundary ".
    I am using sitescope to monitor some of the services that is running on that
    server and that is giving me problem now.

    I would be appreciated if someone can help me.

    It's a benign message. See Microsoft article

    Per the article you'll want to edit
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Perflib with

    0x01 - Do not test for data buffer alignment errors. Suppresses 1016 event.

    Make sure you back up the registry key before editing.

    Sorry about that. The following is the link to the article:

    I somehow got the period at the end of the link to be part of the url and
    that's why it didn't work. Even though the article is for Win 2K and XP it
    should work for Windows 2003 as well.
