CGI Variables across local domains
The broad question: is there any way to use the CGI.auth_user
CGI.auth_password variables across local hosts so that NTFS authentication is
NOT required at each stop?
For example
Server A ~ portal.blah.blah
Server B ~ owa.blah.blah
Server C ~ vhost.blah.blah
If on login ~ I use IIS basic security [leaving aside all the security risks
for the moment] on Server A ~ the CGI variables are populated. Once I go to
server B I am required again to provide my windows authentication credentials.
Perhaps using an owa over SSL is a bad example....[though that IS the pie in
the sky].
I have successfully used CFHTTP supplying the CGI variables as the
cfhttp.username and cfhttp.password [also supplying them as cfhttparam vars]
and was able to get to the test page on server C without a problem. The
cfhttp.filecontent returned the value of the page
BUT
1) Although I can view the cffhttp.filecontent ~ any links inside don't work
b/c the browser still thinks I'm the original VHOST. So I can't really *spoof*
it.
2) Using a CFLOCATION redirection ~ prompts again for the Windows
authentication.
3) Using a <cfhtmlhead> refreshe also prompts for the windows authentication.
Any ideas or is this one really big wall against which my head will continue
to pound?
Thanks muchly.

Re: CGI Variables across local domains
Server A & C are on the same machine, both as websites under IIS. Server B is an exchange server.
Thanks.
