Default Change a colour but keep shadings

Is it possible after selecting all of the same colours say, PANTONE Red 032 CV, to change them to another colour, say PANTONE 356 CV, but keep the individual shadings. When I try in version 9 the colour changes but the shadings all become 100%. Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Darren,

It works in AI10 with Select>Same>Fill Color.

An easy to manage this is by merging the two swatches. Click on the swatch you want to keep, then ctrl-click on the swatch you want to git rid of. Then on the swatch pallet tab choose "merge swatches"

However this does not work in version 9 if you have gradients. ie it will change the gradient to a 100% fill of the replacing swatch.
