Change Default Dimensions of Rect Tool.
Adobe Indesign CS2 Question....
Is there a way to change the default dimensions of the Rectangle and the text box tools?
For example when you have the tool selected and you just click and the dialog box opens with a numeric value already inserted (1.3889 in x 1.3889 in for me) I want it to be (2.3333 x 2.3333).
However the dialog box seems to remember the last dimensions entered until quit.
I don't see a preference setting for these tools. (Can't double click these tools when a is document closed or opened)
The Object styles let you change everything but dimensions.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Re: Change Default Dimensions of Rect Tool.
Looks like that value is hard encoded, but what an odd size to use. Ah, it's 100 points. I guess that's a round number. Looks like you're going to have to live with typing in that value you want.
You could save yourself a little bit of typing by using p168 which is the same as 2.3333in

Re: Change Default Dimensions of Rect Tool.
Thanks Dave,
That is what I was afraid of....Maybe Adobe will give us the opportunity to change the value in the future.
But until then, I guess it is time to make a new script.
