Change Local User to a Domain User??

Default Change Local User to a Domain User??

Is there any way to CHANGE a local user to a domain(W2K3) user? A number of
things instantiate like Outlook Express's NGs so you can't just copy Doc &
Settings trees. It would save a bunch of hassles if there were an easy way
to change a user from local to a domain and the reverse. From one domain to
another domain where the previous domain is unavailable(W2K3, NT4,W2K)?

Hopefully the from domain to local could be done while the PC is
    un-associated with(already moved away from) it's previous domain(W2K3).

If I am reading this correctly, create a new Domain account with the same
name as the local user, then logon once to the computer where all of the
    settings are then logout.

Now log into the same computer again as a 3rd account (not the new or old
    accounts you want to move)

You need to show hidden files, this is done by opening a windows explorer
windows (like opening my computer) going to tools, then click the 2nd tab
    and then file the:

    Show hidden files
    Show system files

    Then go to
    C:\documents and settings\

Find the folder for you local user and go into it.

    Select ALL FILES
    Right click and copy

Then go back to c:\documents and settings\

    And find the new account
Go into the new account and paste, this will most likely ask you if you
would like to write over, say yes.

This should do the trick login as the domain account and see if it worked.

You might have some odd minor errors but you will have outlook express, my
documents, favorites, and cookies plus a bunch of other stuff you didnąt
    know you had.

Doesn't work. Outlook Express NG accounts wont copy over among others.

    Hi

You can reuse the old profile with the "new" user by changing the new
user's ProfileImagePath in registry to point to the old profile.
