Change PDF Version 1.5 back to Version 1.3 in Acrobat 6

Hello

The issue: we create PDF 1.3 in Distiller for PDF/x purposes. Once we use SuperColor though, these PDF 1.3's are saved as PDF 1.5's in Acrobat 6 and are hence not pdf/x compliant anymore. Is there a way in Acrobat 6 to leave the PDF version as it is, i.e. 1.3? Reducing the file size does not seem to be an option as it changes too many other important things in the PDF.

You seem to be in a pre-press environment - if you have a copy of
Enfocus Pitstop, you can stipulate in the Preferences NOT TO increase
the PDF version ...

Otherwise, De Siem solution is the best for you ...
