Default CHANGING COPYRIGHT STATUS IN FILE BROWSER?

CAN ANYBODY TELL ME HOW TO BATCH CHANGE THE COPYRIGHT *STATUS* OF IMAGES IN THE METDATA USING FILE BROWSER. I'D RATHER NOT HAVE TO RUN AN ACTION AND HAVE HUNDREDS OF HI-RES FILES OPEN AND CLOSE IN ORDER TO HAVE THE COPYRIGHT SYMBOL SHOW IN THE FILE NAME WHEN OPENED.
    THANX,

    You need to

    1.) Open a file

    2.) Choose File Info

3.) In the Description panel, choose Copyrighted as the Copyright Status (and optionally, enter the copyright notice and/or url.

4.) From the unlabelled flyout menu at the top right of the dialog box, choose Save Metadata Template.

5.) In the File Browser, select all the images to which you want to apply the Copyrighted status.

6.) From the File Browser's Edit menu, choose Append Metadata, and pick the template you saved in step 4.

Photoshop will then add the Copyrighted status to all selected images.
