Changing Default File Location In Distiller
I have checked the "Prompt for PDF file destination" in the preferences and I am prompted for the filename and location when creating a PDF file through the Distiller printer but it save to the users desktop.
I have tried using the distiller 5.0 and 4.0 with the same results. I am running Windows 2000 Pro on a Dell GX260 with 512mb ram.
How do I change the default save location from the users desktop to a different location?
Thanks

Re: Changing Default File Location In Distiller
You might try this. Create a new Output Port.
Win 2K instructions - it might be different on other platforms:
1. Choose Start > Settings > Printers.
2. Right-click Acrobat Distiller or Adobe PDF and choose Properties from the pop-up menu.
3. Click The Ports Tab.
4. Click Add Port.
5. select PDf Ports from the Available Port types.
6. Click New Port.
7. Select your desired folder from the local hard disk.
8. Click Okay, and then click Close again.
9. Your new PDF Port will be in the list of available Ports. To use this Port make sure the check box is ticked and then click Apply.
