Changing the date format - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

Hi, I am using ADO.NET to connect to an SQL server 2000 db and I need to know how to change the format of the date values that are coming through from the database. I suspect there is an environment variable or something that can be set either through the ADO.NET connection string or through a SET <ENV VARIABLE> command. Thanks Ioannis Demetriades...

From the SQL Server point of view, use the SET DATEFORMAT command.

    Hi Dejan,

I am using the SET DATEFORMAT command to set the format of the input (from
the client to the database) but this does not affect the format of the
output (what comes out of the SQL server to the client)

For the time being i am explicitly converting the dates using the CONVERT
function -Is there a better solution?

    Thanks
