changing the texture LOD - Macromedia Director 3D

hmm, all my textures look like crap. Everything is blurred , I need to tunr this down/off, as a project I am making requires nice crisp textures. How would I do this? What command would it be? I might have found some LOD commands but I didn't know what to enter as values, thanks in advance, William Hogben....

Hello,

There are two things to consider:

- One is pixel interpolation: bilinear filtering
- The other is mip mapping: the size of the texture changes according to the
distance. The her from the camera, the smaller. The closer to the
camera, the bigger.

You can manually set the quality of the textures:

#low: no mipmapping
#medium: mipmapping with low bilinear
#high: mipmapping with high trilinear setting

E.g:
member("scratch").texture("groove").quality = #low

Karl.

Karl, I have a question...

I'm loading textures from .jpg cast members onto objects, but the quality is really bad... i've tried manually setting the quality, and even adding your ChromeLib (which rocks btw) Texture Quality behavior to the member, nothing...

my code for one of the textures:

property main

on beginSprite me
main = member("Main")
main.deleteShader("Walls")
walls = main.newShader("walls",#standard)
walls.texture = main.newTexture("tex1",#fromCastMember,member("tex-main"))
walls.emissive = rgb("FFFFFF")
main.model("Main").shader = walls
walls.shininess = 0
main.texture("tex1").quality = high
updateStage

and the picture: http://chuck.inode.at/chris/other/image.jpg

what am i doing wrong?
